Anonymous rächte Megaupload per LOIC

Die Schließung des Filehosters Megaupload hat Anonymous in Rage versetzt. Das Kollektiv reagiert mit massiven DDoS-Angriffen auf Websites von FBI, US-Justizministerium, der US-Musik- und Filmindustrie sowie von einigen Plattenfirmen. Es war mit 5.636 Beteiligten der bisher größte Angriff von Anonymus dieser Art.

CloudOn bringt Microsoft Office aufs iPad

Ein kleines kalifornisches Unternehmen hat eine kostenlose App veröffentlicht, mit der sich Microsoft Office auf Apples iPad nutzen lässt. CloudOn heißt die App, mit der das gleichnamige Startup Microsoft zuvorgekommen ist, eine Office-Software für das iPad zu veröffentlichen. So scheint es jedenfalls, denn eine native Version des Office-Paketes ist es nicht.

Was kommt mit WordPress 3.4?

One of the topics discussed at the core team meetup was next year’s default theme. It was determined that the default theme will be Matt’s project for 3.4. Matt will be overseeing a theme designer (via Lance) to ensure a theme that is “kind of different from before, generally palatable, and that Matt likes.” Once Matt chooses a design, a directory will be started and the core team will supervise the code from the start, hopefully with review cycles involving the theme review team.
